YOUR CONTRIBUTION

The Munich Outpatient Children's Hospice Foundation (AKM) has been supporting seriously and life-threateningly ill children, adolescents, young adults and seriously ill parents with underage children since 2004 - from diagnosis to beyond death.

The team of doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers is supported by over 300 volunteers in crisis situations, grief counselling and family support. The aim is to provide families with safety, security and a sense of normality in difficult times.

The service is free of charge for families. As only around 25% of the services are covered by health insurance companies, the foundation relies on around €2 million in donations every year.
