PEOPLE ARE DYING FROM PREVENTABLE DISEASES
Millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa are dying of diseases that would be preventable by proper prevention and treatable with simple but correct treatment: almost three-quarters of child deaths are the result of birth complications and contagious diseases. Malaria alone kills around one million people every year in southern Africa, more than 80 percent of them are children under the age of five.

FOR HEALTH IN AFRICA
SolidarMed is the Swiss organization for health in Africa and improves the health care of 1.5 million people in Lesotho, Moçambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Zambia. SolidarMed strengthens the existing medical offer sustainably and expands it meaningfully.

TOGETHER WITH LOCAL PARTNERS
The health of mothers, newborns and children is a key concern and receives special attention in projects. In cooperation with local partner organizations, hospitals and village communities, SolidarMed promotes "help for self-help".

SOLIDARMED HELPS SINCE 1926
