Laureus Sport for Good is an international aid organisation. It promotes programmes that teach the values of sport to disadvantaged children: fairness, consideration, respect and responsibility. Programmes against discrimination, racism and violence.
The principle of the foundation is: Sport creates strong personalities and strong personalities have a better perspective in life.
Laureus Sport for Good supports over 200 programmes in more than 40 countries worldwide, which use the power of sport to improve the lives of children and young people in the long term.
Roman Weidenfeller particularly supports the Futbalo Girls programme. Under the motto “Integration instead of exclusion”, the aim of this promotional program is to support girls nationwide, with and without a migrant background, in building a better self-confidence and imparting values such as team spirit, tolerance and a sense of responsibility.
