Channel Aid is part of the FABS Foundation and was launched in July 2016 as a voluntary part of FABS Projects GmbH. The initiator and founder is the entrepreneur Fabian Narkus. Together with his team, he lives by the motto: "Young people want to make a difference."
The Foundation has made it its mission to give people living with disabilities access to sport and to make it easier for them to participate in social life. Their goal is: inclusion and targeted support instead of exclusion. They want to be part of the solution and are convinced that their individual concept can bring them a lot closer to their goal.
Chance to Dance - The famous Hamburg dance school "Mein Tanzstudio" has been offering dance classes for people with disabilities for years. Every Sunday, people of all ages can dance around the large dance floor under professional guidance and learn the classics at their own pace. The focus is on individual attention to their needs and integration into society. The special thing about this dance course is that inclusion is at the forefront, as the dances (standard/Latin) are taught with original steps. Dancing enables the participants to optimize their physical abilities, increase their concentration and prevent Alzheimer's disease. The Hanseatic City of Hamburg awarded the social prize to the project back in 2011.
