Winter Olympic adventure with Felix Neureuther

I could hardly believe it when I learned that I would be traveling to the Winter Olympics in Bormio!

I am a passionate skier and ski fan, and my mom and I follow the World Cup circuit every single year. And now we had the chance to experience alpine skiing live on the biggest stage and cheer for the athletes – what a dream come true.

Bormio welcomed us with sunshine and almost spring-like weather on Friday. Seeing the Olympic rings and realizing that we were truly there was a very special moment. Just in time for the race on Saturday, winter returned and we were able to watch the competition from the grandstand with perfect visibility.

We also explored the town and enjoyed Bella Italia. We soaked up the sun and even met a few ski stars. Before the second race, winter came back once again and the snowfall made the competition more difficult – but even more exciting to watch.

The race became incredibly thrilling towards the end, as one of our favorites had a real chance to fight for the top positions. But as sports often go, joy and heartbreak lie close together – and especially at the Olympics, emotions feel even more intense.

Thank you so much for this once-in-a-lifetime experience that my mom and I will remember forever.
