David’s First International Away Trip

For David, this trip marked the fulfilment of a very special dream: his first international away trip with VfB Stuttgart.

After attending many Bundesliga away matches, this experience took him to a European competition for the first time – and to Portugal for the first time as well.

Even before the match, the special atmosphere was palpable: the city of Porto was firmly in VfB’s grip, with travelling fans in white and red to be found everywhere. This special sense of community made the trip something unique for David – even if it couldn’t be crowned with a victory.

Inside the stadium, the atmosphere reached its peak. Despite conceding goals, the support from the VfB fans remained loud and passionate – a real highlight for David, who was able to experience the energy of the stands up close.

Beyond the match itself, the entire trip became an unforgettable experience that will stay with David for a long time to come.
