A SPECIAL NIGHT IN VENICE

Nikolas’ trip to Venice for the Better World Fund Charity Gala turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Our winner Nikolas was accompanied by his friend Tom, an actor. The timing of the gala coincided with the Venice Film Festival, making it all the more exciting for Nikolas, a film director. Adding an extra layer of fun, Nikolas planned to surprise his friend Izabela, who was also attending, by not revealing that he would be there.

On a rainy day, as the event drew near, our winner and his friend took a water taxi to the renowned Hotel Cipriani to avoid being late. Upon arrival, they struck up a conversation with a friendly gentleman who remarked that Nikolas seemed familiar. After some back and forth, the man revealed that he was waiting for the contest winners. To Nikolas and Tom's astonishment, they were talking to Shawn, their main contact for the gala. It was a delightful surprise to realize they were already in conversation with someone so central to the evening’s event.

The gala itself was a star-studded affair. Nikolas and Tom were introduced to a wide range of fascinating personalities, including Mr. Mao, an Academy Award-winning producer, and his partner, who later joined them at their table. The prestigious seating at the Presidential 2 table placed them right next to Hollywood icons Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon, ensuring that they had a prime spot for the evening’s entertainment. The night featured talented musicians, captivating speeches, and the much-anticipated awards for American actors.

As always, Cipriani did not disappoint, with exquisite food enhancing the entire experience. Nikolas took a moment to thank Manuel Collas de la Roche for organizing such a remarkable evening.

By the end of the night, Nikolas felt truly grateful, not only for winning this experience but for the friendships he forged and the memories made during the Better World Charity Fund Gala. Venice had worked its magic and Nikolas hoped to cross paths with his new acquaintances in the future.
